Help this guy find some skis

Shreditor 102 is playful and a little floppy at high speeds but can still hold, and if your a good skier you should be able to handle it. Kartel 106 is a super sick durable ski but will most likely be outta your price range. Id also recommend Icelandic Nomad at 105 underfoot which would be a little stiffer than shreditors and close to Kartels but again may exceed your budget. A ski within in your budget might be the moment pb&j. Its just at 101 underfoot and can rip everywhere you take it. Defiantly a more all mountain park capable ski, but can ride through occasional pow. I believe you can find it for like $412?

On top of these skis which are all awesome there are always the Line SFBs and Fatypus L-Toro. I just got a brand new pair of 2015 SFBs for $380 in the 172 cm version and I can't wait to shred with them this year in the North West. Like you though, I grew up in NJ but often skied at Whiteface Mt in New York and the Armada Ar7s never let me down, even though they only had an 83mm waist. I would definitely consider the Line SFBs (108mm waist) and the ON3P Kartel 106 or 98 (Your preference) if you wanted a wider ski.

Why can't companies just sell their skis for like 10 bucks, that'll make everybody happy...

In seriousness though, you can find some older models of good skis for alot cheaper even when the only thing changed is the design on it. I have seen brand new L-Toros going for under 300 and a bunch of other good skis for around that range because they were models from previous years.

Where are you skiing in NH? I ski up there all the time, and you are likely overrating the snowfall levels. I would highly recommend staying away from 115mm skis, because 99.62% of the tim they will be overkill. 98-108 range is going to wide enough to handle pretty much anything NH can throw at you, while still being able to carve on icy hardpack.

I would highly recommend staying away from 115mm skis, because 99.62% of the tim they will be overkill. 98-108 range is going to wide enough to handle pretty much anything NH can throw at you, while still being able to carve on icy hardpack.

Only problem about PB&J is pricing. I would have recommended rocker 2 108 but wasn't sure if there are cheap ones out there

I would go either the Candide 2.0's, ON3P Kartel 98, Revision Talisman or K2 Shreditor 102.

Did quite a bit of research and the shreditor looks way too flexy for me.

Let me revise what I wrote originally regarding flex and characteristics, something playful in tip and tail but stable and stiff underfoot, like volkl steps.

SFBs and Moment PB&Js look sick, I'll keep looking for them in cheaper prices. Kartels have a less progressive flex right? Combined with the price that doesn't seem like a feasible option. I don't like the rest of the specs of the nomad (construction and price). Honestly, I love the shape of the shreditors and if they were stiffer I would get them.

Okemo/Sunapee on the daily. Located south of Dartmouth but very occasional trips elsewhere

I'll trust you on the snowfall thing. I skiied killington with some people a year or two ago who were regulars, and what they said was shitty conditions for them was better than anything I'd ever experienced in Jersey, so I probably am glorifying it too much up here. We will see though

Salomon 100 are actually used by pro riders as much as the NFX. Its like the Line Blend to Will Wesson and Sami O. It should be a great jibby all mountain ski. As for the PB&J, they are stiff and more rockered, and stiffer than the Salomons. These are just as park capable as the Salomons, and I know people with both who do 90% park and 10% all mountain. These are some great choices. The SFBs I don't know enough about, but I believe these can slash pow and crud really well, and are probably not as park oriented from what I know (someone else please help me out on these)

If you ski "very aggressively," like you said in the description, the Moment PB&J is a MUCH better choice for you than the other two. The SFB and Rocker2 both are fun and playful skis, and will do the job of park and all-mtn skiing, but when it comes to charging and holding a good edge on longer turns, the PB&J would put them to shame. The Moments are stiffer and have a much longer turning radius compared to the other two, meaning higher stability at high speeds.
