Ayy NS so originally from Jersey but will be skiing in New Hampshire this year, every day all winter!
So
I am looking for a powish/all mountain ski that I can maybe hit some park stuff with but mostly trees and pow and basically jump off of anything and everything. Something I can go fast on and not have flop around but still be really playful and hold a reasonable edge and be able to spin and land switch on (so no metal, nothing too surfy, and twin). I have race skis so if I want to charge groomers I'll be on those, so I'd be willing to sacrifice some carving ability.
I weigh 190, ski very aggressively (used to race, plus New Jersey "snow" really teaches you to use your edges), and would like to mount Look Pivot 14's on them with the 115mm brake, so just below that would be the widest I could go.
Looking to spend 300~ on it. I'm really good at finding things cheap online so disregard the price when giving me options. If I have options I'm sure I could find something, I just don't know where to start..
While I'm at it, do I even need a pow ski for up here? From jersey an 85mm waist center mounted twin could handle the occasional inch of crusty pow but I imagine it's a whole new world up here. How deep does a pow day get and are rockered skis actually useful here? (East coasters please answer this I don't want any westerners saying east coast is all ice so no).
Thanks guys! K+ promised to all those who are productive
