Replying to Best Camera For Filming a Good Edit

I have a GoPro hero 3+ right now and was looking for an upgrade this year. My go pro app on my phone takes 5 minutes just to pull up the video and another ten to download it in decent quality. Now with more and more phones being able to shoot 4K I was wondering if I should just buy a new phone because it is about the same quality shot and I would have my videos much faster. All suggestions are good suggestions and will get +Karma
