Replying to How to get linked with decent jobs related to skiing? (Photo or Video)

So basically this winter I want to get real work for photo or video. I have very extensive knowledge in both fields, and professional gear (as well as a website) to make all of it work.

How have you guys gotten real work? I'm over here in Sun Valley and I think I'd be amazing to do a promo park shoot. Do I cold call? Do I find people who know people?
