What music do you like/prefer in an edit?

I mean it depends on what they're doing . Park has more of a rap feel while all mountain is electronic . I personally prefer electronic in the winter then in the spring i like rap . So what music or good songs do you guys like to shred with . Also what kind of music you prefer in general ? Just trying to get a rocking playlist and some thoughts on this thread.

I think the song in Lucas Wachs segment in Burn fits good. Every one of the New Era videos is $$$ for park/urban. I listen to a lot of Logic's songs normally, but that's just me.

rap can be pretty good but can also get pretty repetitive.

I like edits that use different genres not normally used. Something that's unique is always interesting.

There was this edit, with skate sounds to replace the skiing sounds which I know isn't music but was pretty cool. They had the sound of an ollie when the skier jumped off the lip which was pretty dope

Music should always flow with the footage...

It depends on the type of edit you are going for. If you wanna throw out thug vibes then go with old school rap. Electronic music goes good with that kind of "Everyone is having a blast" theme as shown in the video below.

In general we could all benefit from stepping back from typical modern rap. Also a lot of old school rap is getting played out. It's still great but it gets to a point where the music puts me to sleep. I really haven't seen IDM much in skiing or alternative electronic. Anything that surprises me and isn't annoying is cool in my book.

I HATE wu tang in edits. There may be an exception or two, but I think its way too played out. And it almost never fits well.

yeah theres something about that wicked ghetto ass rap that isn't good at all in edits like its trash and rewens the skiing.

All depends on how the video is shot and edited. If the music flows with the shots and transitions, plus the atmosphere of the skiing, it should be cool. Unique is always better as mentioned above.
