From UK, Ski dryslope and fridge, boot question

Ok, so I know boot questions are outlawed but I live in the UK (Wales) and bootfitters are few and far between, let alone good ones. I tried an Ellis Brigham shop in Bristol but the "boot fitter" there was clueless. I have owned a pair of Salomon Quest Max 100's for 2 years and have been in constant agony (far too narrow even though they have "Custom Fit shell"). I've been looking at SPK 100, FT Booter/Descendant, Atomic Hawx, I would like to try all these out or at least get a pair that fit, any tip or tricks without spending a small fortune? Also, what is a reasonable price for custom insoles?
TL;DR Live in Wales, no boot fitters, need boots.

The uk has some great fitters but you need to be going to the larger dome shops. MK or cas both have some great fitters working so make a day of it go for a ski and get your boots fitted.
Nothing reallyagainst snow and rock as again I know a few of their guys but make sure the size is right. They can be a little big in there fitting.
