liamrashotteIf you like really stiff skis I wouldn't get it but if you're okay with a decent amount of flex itd be great
TwigI would say they are stiffer than the new SFB but not by much, though they are significantly stiffer than the older ones (pre-16). They are also definitely stiffer in the nose/tail than the Chronic. But I wouldn't describe them as particularly poppy/snappy, they actually ski pretty smoothly for such a light ski and they do feel damp. There is not a lot of energy turn to turn or off jumps due for the most part to the low/almost 0 camber. You can ollie on them fairly well due to the smooth rocker profile allowing easy lift, then using leg power to get the actual height and they are stiff enough for me that they held up on high speed butters though.
TwigI'm about 5'9 and about 140lbs for reference. They aren't an all out charger but they do hold up at speed fairly well and they won't just fold up when you butter if that's what you're worried about, though neither would the new SFB. I haven't spent a ton of time on them, around 5 days so far, so it's hard to give a definitive opinion but from what I have done, I'd say they are a great option for a do it all lightweight jibby ski. I probably wouldn't ride a ton of park on them durability wise, but that aside I'd fairly happily ski them for most things. The trade-off is they didn't blow my mind for anything in particular. Oh and by damp I basically mean not that poppy/energetic.
chicknfriedsteakAwesome awnser, thanks man. We are about the same size then. I probably would never take them in the park since I have my chronics. I'll be using them for about 25% backountry and 75 in bounds powder skiing. The main reason I was worried about them not being stiff enough was for plowing through rough bumpy choppy snow and then butters of course. If you don't think the 3.0s are best for that, then is there another ski you'd reccomend?
TwigFor what it sounds like you are looking for, I'd say the Batalla All MTN Twin could be perfect. Depends how much of the snow you ski is truly 'pow' and how much is chopped up crud. I did a full review on the all mountain twin back in December... maybe see if they would fit your bill.

36ChambersOfWuI am a little smaller than you, 5'8" and about 125lbs and I am looking for a powder charger also, looking at Nordica Patrons? Have you skies them? What can you say about them?

chicknfriedsteakMostly powder and when I mean chopped up snow I'm talking about loose fresh stuff not ice. And deep powder too.

Profahoben_212Look at the 4frnt devastators. They kill the crud and float damn well for their size. Also they are able to butter and press damn good.
MartianManDevys are pretty damn heavy to double as a touring ski.
TwigYeah, I didn't read this carefully enough that it needs to double as a touring ski. I probably wouldn't go Batalla/ON3P then. The 3.0 or SFB are probably your best picks then. I'd go Bacons out of two I think!
tomPietrowskiWhat about the mordecai? I'm going to stick some guardians on those to have as my playfull touring setup.
chicknfriedsteakHave you skied them?
