Potentially moving to slc area

Might land a job up at alta this winter. If i do, there is a chance that my gf and I would move out. What are some good areas that we might like? We are both mid 20s, like good nightlife, but also the opportunity to take it easy and quiet at home. Heard Sugarhouse is fun, but wouldnt mind being closer to the canyon in sandy or cottonwood heights, any insight on those areas? Rental prices seem pretty reasonable all around, so not too worried. thanks!

cwood heights is better than sandy but neither have much of a night life. a couple of bars at best. honestly if you are close to the interstate in sugarhouse/foothill area, the commute is only like 15 min longer. sugarhouse has like 9 bars within walking distance of each other and downtown is close.
