36ChambersOfWuThinking about getting them. I would get a 177, I am 5'8" and looking for a maneuverable powder ski that can still charge. Any opinions on them?
DominatorJacquesI can say that Nordica uses some good bases in most of their skis. Not for sure, but those could be with carbon and gallium.
In general Nordica pretty much kills it.
36ChambersOfWuThanks for the input/bump
DominatorJacquesJust double checked. Those have the best bases. Awesome skis.
Sintered graphite gallium. Google gallium!
As an additive in glide wax for skiis, and other low friction surface materials. US 5069803, Sugimura, Kentaro; Shoji Hasimoto & Takayuki Ono, "Use of a synthetic resin composition containing gallium particles in the glide surfacing material of skis and other applications", issued 1995
36ChambersOfWuHas anyone skied them? and how do they proform

Black. My friend has a pair and they are incredible. They charge so hard and you don't feel out of control in the slightest, I immediately regretted my decision to buy JJ's after skiing the Patrons, such an awesome ski
.squirrely.Patrons fucking rip on any soft snow, extremely nimble for their size so they are a great east coast tree ski. I'm 6'2" and have the 185s. They aren't too great on anything groomed but good enough to get from the lift to the woods and back. Highly recommend them
36ChambersOfWuGreat to hear good reviews, they will be my east coast power and touring ski. Thinking of skiing them at tuckermans also. Will they handle that?
.squirrely.They will be a bit heavy to tour on depending on what binding you have, but yeah perfect east coast pow ski.
