'backcountry freestyle ski'

Folks,

I am looking for skis that are good in the park and good in powder (a bit of best of both worlds). I heard that hey called it 'backcountry freestyle ski'

I heard about the ON3P Jeffry 114.

Anyone has other suggestions?

Jeffery is definitely something to look at. I had the YLES for a bit and loved them. They handled pow and park great. Highly recommend both of those. I have skied both so ask any questions:)

this, the on3ps, or something from K2's shreditor lineup would be good. although, with the way skis get damaged in the park your edges and bases won't be the best looking. when I got my hellbents I wanted to use them in the park but I decided not to because of the damage. just something to take into consideration

- K2 Shredditor

Any other brands? Or maybe some park skis that do well in the pow?

Faction 4.0's. The description of the ski is literally "backcountry freestyle." I would highly recommend these. They kill it in the deep stuff and can still hold a great edge on ice. Swing weight is super low, so they're easy to throw around. Also, pretty soft in the tip and tail so they play, but still stable enough underfoot for disseminating the stomp.

I demoed a set of Salomon rocker 108s and 122s both super surfy pow skis, could easily be used as park skis if you're looking for something with a softer flex and generous rocker. Because of the honeycomb tips the swingweight is super low.

Honestly I'd almost say the rocker 108 felt more like a very rockered park ski than a pow ski.

I decided to take the K2 Shredditors 102, however, I can't find the right size, only 170cm.
I am 176 cm long and 75 kg. Is 170 too small? Or keep looking for 177?

for sure a 170 will be to short. it might even be worth looking for the 184 if you want it as a crossover park and pow ski, if it was purely for park you could probably just about get away with a 177 (might feel a tiny bit short) but for both id say the 184 might be better.

Check out the Shreditor 112's. I know of people who use them as their main pow ski and also a ski to go into the park with. I'm pretty sure that Collin Collin's rock's them in the park still

I'd get something wider than 102. Look at the YLE in a 177. Still very versatile

So I Found some K2 shredditors from 13/14? In reviews, they say that it was but heavy. Anyone has experienced that?

I also found some movement skis? Anyone knows something about them?

It were movement fly catchers!

If this is what you are looking for. I wouldn't call them real powder ski's though, having a 102 waist.

I would personally look at either the Faction Candide 4.0 or a set of Surface LABs. Both are great backcountry freestyle skis. I rip my factions on groomers all day as well.

anyone know a good beginner touring ski thats more focused on the downhill then the uphill aspect. twin tip and all thanks. also not to soft but still fun but i want it to be able to go fasttt and just hit features naturally all over the mountain similar to some of sander hadleys edits.

ill be using it for a little bit of day trip touring to get some fresh and also at the resort when there is some snow. so not tech bindings or anything.

I mean I'm sure there are heavier skis out there, but I don't think they're too bad. But to be honest I haven't skied many other fat skis before, so I could be wrong. Regardless, I love em
