2016/2017 Gear Speculation Thread

it's a little early but shit is starting to pop up, Sami Ortlieb appears to be riding some Line protos in a few Glacier Days shots, not too mention the ones Wallisch was on for a while last winter. anyone else seen some other stuff yet?

just a little to early, thats really ill we've seen so far, Id expect a lot of the same stuff, but I wonder if Sami is riding Protypes they change the profile of the blend or whatever he was riding

to be honest I hope it's not the blends, they are one of my favorite ski shapes.

if someone made a full twin straight ski I would totally buy it (on sale after no one else did) for a bump ski. straight skis are fun in the bumps.

I am expecting pow skis for 2016/2017 to continue more on the trend of getting narrower and being more shaped and flex determinant. The days of oversized pow skis is over. A ski thats 115 underfoot is all you need, no more of the 120-125 underfoot. Again just speculation and personal preference, a little bit of sink does make it more fun on pow days, can't have max float all the time.

i can see 115-120 becoming the norm, especially an influx of ~115 freestyle skis

There will always be a place for the super-fats - 4ft of fresh Japanese cold smoke is a good example.

Well from LINE, Tom Wallisch is getting a pro model called The "T-Wall Pro" (117/90/112), Eric Pollard has the Magnum Opus (148/124/146), Mordecai (141/114/138), Sir Francis Bacon (135/104/131) & a new ski the "Pescado" (158/125/147) . The Pescado seems to be a single direction with a "Swallow Tail", its tail has a semicircle cut into it. They brought back The Blend, Chronic, Tigersnake, The Supernatural Series, The Sick Day series seems to have lost a ski, I'm not sure which one but one looks to be gone. They also have a new park ski called "The Honey Badger" (120/92/116) it will replace the TC Ski.

Faction is keeping the same line up.

Armada has a B-Dog Ski
