Amateur SLVSH idea, what do you think?

I'm doing my first season this winter and would like a webisode project to keep me busy and I was thinking of filming amateur SLVSH games in Laax...

So you would ski around in one of the ref jerseys looking for two good and similar skiers that are up for playing a game of Slvsh. Preferably they don't know each other so they don't know there strengths or weakness. Then you film it like a normal game...

Or you could do crew Slvsh, so you find two crews of 2-4 people and as a group they call a trick and one person from each crew is chosen to try the trick.

I think it could be pretty entertaining as you will see some funny skiers/crews/tricks called and hopefully people will go big. Also not being that good myself I think I would find it more relateable than the official games. Don't get me wrong I love the offical Slvsh episodes but I think amateur slvsh could be entertaining...

I meant to add a poll but I don't know how to add one now, but let me know if It could work/ it has too many flaws/ its a crap idea... and most importantly would you be up for a game if someone asked you?

I wouldn't watch it. You need a big bag of tricks to keep it interesting.

With the group game It'll be important that one person can't do a called trick until everyone else i his/her group has each done(tried) a trick. If everyone can do the trick the game will be endless.. Am I making myself clear?

Do you mean that the best person in each group cant keep going again? So its taken in order as opposed to people choosing there best skier each time?

there's been a few amateur games filmed and put on here before

they were okay, but like someone said, obviously it's better to watch pros go at it because the bag of tricks is endless

Awesome idea man, definitely would need some more talented amateurs with a large repertoire of tricks to keep it interesting over several episodes but you shouldnt have too much of a problem finding that at Laax. I think you would have a lot of fun filming, editing, and showing all of us the finished products here on NS. Good luck and looking forward to watching!

Yes, for whatever reason it really yanks my chain when I see people use it not to describe actual slvsh games. Or if someone asks if I want to play a game of slvsh. Call it skate, or snow or whatever if you're not referring to actual slvsh.

Exactly. You have to be a little strategic about selecting who gets to do the tricks..

The idea is awesome btw!

Just call it LAAX fewer letters will suit the "small" bag of tricks that most amateurs have

I think you have something with the crew idea. could be really interesting assuming you can find some good crews with a good bag of tricks. maybe doing a video contest and selecting the best crews to put into a bracket. you would obviously need to be able to expand outside of just one ski area though.

its a cool idea, but I feel that what makes SLVSH interesting is their bag of tricks and I dont think most amatuers have that.

i ski in laax too and i think it would be pretty exciting because we've got many obstacles and good skiers.

i would totally play a game if im a choosen one btw.

I think this would be sweet. More relatable for 99% of the community. Obviously, the skiers wouldn't have as many tricks as the pros, but I would love to watch and compare my skills to others, and say "oh I could hang with that guy" or "oh I could beat him" or "damn he's good I have to step up my game". Dope idea

No, you just need to be creative. I've seen some pretty good skiers have highly boring games just because the don't have the creativity.

Get creative, make it interesting and it should be enjoyable. Don't get too ambiguous like trying to put a bracket together. Just find some good skiers and have them go at it.
