Replying to Best Gopro filming settings (i suck at filming)

Looking to get after filing this coming year now that I've gotten decent enough to not make myself look like a fool and all i got is a Hoepro to film with. Whats the best setting to use for like follow cams and sitting on knuckles and stuff. I ski Midwest so it will be really quick laps with follow cams. Right now I have it set on 960 48fps wide angle for my tripod on my summer setup. Anything helps.
