Alright, tons of people have been messaging me for the real Armada story and I'm tired of it. I'm prolly gonna take some heat for this, but here it is.

For the most part, all the information you know thus far is a hoax. It is a sick ski and the team is going to be sick but it isn't skier run. It was thought that the skier population wouldn't take well to a snowboard company dipping in the scene but I don't see it as a problem. Four star distributions is running this project. aka foursquare clothing, circa etc... So hopefully that helps out.

anyone that thinks a snowboard company coming into the newschool scene is a bad thing is stupid. if all goes well with this armada thing, more companies might jump on the band wagon. this means theyll pump more money into the sport, which means the sport will grow. also, snowboarding companies are loaded. if theyre actually serious about skiing, theyll be able to put a lot of money into r&d, which means better products for us. again, if theyre serious about getting into the skiing industry, theyll sponsor our athletes, and maybe start paying them what they deserve. theres lots more reasons but im too lazy to write it all and you will be too lazy to read it all.

the best thing is that if everybody jumps on the band wagon that the prices of skis will go down because there will be tons of competition.

i dislike the burton graphics.. they are way to detailed, it seems like they put more effort on the graphics rather than the board.. i like graphics with not alot of detail.

Why the hell does anyone care about the graphics??
If you don't like the graphics on your skis put stickers on them. buying skis for the graphics is like girls buying a cars because it is a pretty color. (no offense to girls, just an example). It is the construction of the ski that matters, what you can't see is what counts, this is why the scratch is going to be so incredible, because it has a construction that no one has ever tried. Just like the rosi snowboards, which are sick.
A snowboard company building skis is probably one of the best things to ever happen to skiing.

why do i get the feeling this post is to make people stop messaging him. considering how many people on here bitch about skiing companies (i.e. salomon) making snowboards, I can't believe now everyone is like, 'cool, snowboarding companies making skis'. i'm not saying i agree one way or the other, but it seems like if this is true, there's a lot of bandwagoners on this site. i'd laugh my ass off if this post was a hoax. anyway, except for the lucky few on here that are near whistler or hood, it's not like most people on here will be putting on their skis for a few months. so why not wait for the 'official' story?

Wow, strange... thats actually not a bad thing at all... in the future I could see snowboarding companies competing head to head with the big ski companies... could make for some interesting developments in regard to the big ski companies, and how they decide to compete.

Atlantis is kind of an alright company. There snowboards are built well but they cant compete that well with other big snowboard companies
cause they dont have the image down, they have Guy Deschenes though so they rule, but they also have Brad Makepeace and he's queer, so I remain undecided on the topic.
They will make a good product though. Later.

Exactly, Atlantis is not doing so hot in the snowboard industry, so why not cross over to an exploding ski indusrtry? They already have the equipment and an established name.

CorkWormTurn - There's a difference between a skiing company making snowboards and a snowboarding company making skis. Salomon, Rossi, and K2 have always had their roots in skiing and then they were allowed to expand into a different market. It makes a world of difference when a snowboard established company gets the balls to go out on a limb and start ventures into a product that they've ignored or not wanted any part in for over a decade.

There were the K2 dead skis. Old skinnies with deadheads on them I think. A shop round here has them. Probably not quite the graphics you're looking for, but a good idea and nice tribute.
