FFG has a different form factor than its bigger brothers the FFG 13 and FFG 16. Most notably a 3 hole toe that is considerably easier to pull out than its 4 screw counterparts. Oh and don't forget that mostly plastic heel piece everyone seems to be experts at destroying in a matter of days.

Attack on the other hand is the same binding boys like Joss and McRae ride and have very little to no problems with. Just with a 13 din spring as opposed to a 16 like the boys ride.

Oh and its a lot harder to blow up a Tyrolia brake. Land switch and blow out once on the FFG's and you'll be looking into purchasing a new brake for sure.

The FFG 14/16 - STH 13/16 WTR have one of the best toes in the industry.

The 10/12 don't as they use the Z toe which is a plasticy bit of wank.

Im a fat fucker at 95kg and have the FFG 14's on my free ride sticks and haven't had a single issue.

Attacks! But as a heads up, the attacks brakes screw into your top sheet, so if you blow one, you'll have to drill into the ski again.

Depending on the year the FFG 14 along with the 10 and 12 came with the crappy toe and I will agree that the driver toe is a hell of a lot better than the other one.

Tyrolia brakes are super bomber, I've never had to replace one, just bend them back into place. Looks and sollys are at least a couple times a season for myself. Unless the brake/ heel rips out it is simple to screw in a new brake (if they aren't epoxied in), your local shop will probably do it at no extra cost if you are worried about striping the hole. Oh, and they don't just screw into the topsheet but the core as well.
