Been researching, looking for a ski suggestion.

So we recently received a bonus at work and I have put a main chunk of it into the savings account, but I have also dedicated a bit of it to a new ski set up.

A bit about my self, I live and ski mostly in Minnesota (with a yearly trip out west). I have a pair of AR7s that should have another good season left in them, so those pretty much are dedicated for park skiing. I'm a big guy (6'3 230 lbs) so I like something that isn't like riding on a wet noodle. I'd like something that I can take on the Minnesota Ice/Groomers...that'll get me through the crud out west and the occasional pow day (if i'm lucky enough)...and maybe can take a few park laps. 90 - 100 mm underfoot is pref.

I don't really have any brand preference, though I have skied Armadas more than any other ski.

So let me hear your ideas, can't wait to scoop up a new set up that I didn't think I'd be able to afford this year.

Anyone here ride last years K2 shredditor 102s? I'm tempted by their 184 model.

ON3P Kartels are a sick choice. I also ski in MN (Hyland Hills and occasionally Elm Creek and Buck Hill) so i know what you need. The Kartel is 98mm underfoot but can be called a park ski and an all mountain ski. These things are ridden by Karl mostly on the park, so it shows its versatility in the park, but the medium flex holds its own and a 98mm underfoot will help with crud in colorado. I currently ride the Da Nollie and go out west once or twice a year and I think the Da Nollie will be a little soft for you. From what I have heard, the 102 is a little chattery all mountain and can't tell you anything about it in the park, other than it has a thinner edge that most of the other K2 skis

kartel 106 or 98 whichever shreditor 92/102 these might be a little soft the moment tahoe seems sick although i haven't rode it or the nordica soul rider but if you realy want a stiff ski the nordica enforcer will be perfect

Go ON3P. You wont regret it. I would say Kartel 98 or I just happen to see last years Presters in 181 on sale on the ON3P website. Either one would be sick.
And lets be honest. If you went west and it was a powder day you should really just rent a full on powder ski. It makes such a difference when you get in deep stuff.

Nordica Soul Rider is another sick option. I'd go with these or Kartel 98s

Might not be the best option, I've heard these are a little stiff, but maybe play a little softer for you. I have these in a size 185 I think for cheap if you do decide getting these, but look into the Kartel 98 once again. I think you'll love this ski as its one of the most "park able" all mountain skis on the market with one of the best, durable companies out there

I've never tried out the Kartels so I can't speculate on that. But if he is thinking he wants the Shreditor 102, I think the Rocker2 100 would be a better choice for him due to it being quite a but stiffer. The 102s are just noodles.
