I mean what you do have to give it no matter your opinion on the matter is that its different.

Mr. Iberg is fantastic at putting out things that push the barriers and try new ground. Sometimes this is going to make people love it, sometimes people will hate it - and very often there will be a very polarized mix of the two between the various people that watch it.

The grainy, fucked up style is something that is really popular in Skateboarding, is rising fast in snowboarding and you bet your ass its coming in skiing. In this light, Education of Style was well ahead of its time. However as skiers, so far we're used to everything being shot on the $100k cameras in ultra slow-mo, and this really fucks with that formula.

My advice to you is to let it sink in a bit. Take a bit of time away from the movie, watch a few super grainy edits, check out some skateboarding and mentally prepare yourself for the weird editing/effects.

Then watch it again. Allow yourself to accept that the footage is going to be messed up and appreciate the skiing and how it fits in with the vibe of the thing.

Maybe you won't change your mind, but I certainly would recommend trying to give it some perspective, and at least appreciate the fact that there is some different styles of movies that are being put out. Even if all it does is reinforce that you like the polished shit.

i understand where you are coming from but i never thought at any point did the effects improve the look of the skiing. it just distracted me from the actual skiing which was still amazing. but ill try watching others and rewatch some time

The skiing was absolutely phenomenal. Its just a bit of a shame when tricks that are extremely dope get played down by excessive editing. Let the skiing speak for itself, the editing should be almost unnoticeable, just complimenting the stunts

I didn't know it was up for free pretty pumped because I lost it when my old computer died.

I'm in to editing, and like the one in EOS. It's unique and not like everything else. However, it's three years old and editing style changes over time!(Depends) Like Casabon's Keynote skier is $$$
