sander_hI thought that the backcountry segment was a great breath of fresh air. I recall countless times as a kid fast forwarding bc/big mountain segments in movies because they were too repetitive.
"i expect a lot more out of our sports best into pow." I chuckled at that. The Good Company episodes are so damn good because it's a collection of dudes that are all on their own tip.
Very rarely can people show their own style in any type of skiing that is enjoyable to watch. I thought the styles of Ware (massive tree rides, cork 3's), Collin (switch 3&5, clean skiing), Tim (large tricks) and obviously Delorme (massive airs with fluidity only he has) were all apparent.
Good Company Two is one of the best captures of the modern day scene. Wallisch, you are the man for using your standpoint to not only put on all the homies, but also for moving skiing forward. Good Company is the bees kneez.


exactly, good company was some of the hottest shit in years. Super cool that tom put all the homies on as well. real hyped on this one

This is what I was thinking too. I've seen a million shoots from AK and tough lines can be fun to watch but honestly I lose interest pretty quickly because they all start to look similar. I may be bias coming from Idaho but I found the good company segment to be not only more entertaining, but also more relatable as a whole. It captures the best of each skier doing what they do best in the back country and isn't that really what good company is centered around? Crazy shots from the best riders fired one after another, with only enough filler to keep the linearity of it without distracting from the actual skiing. I'm not saying you can't, but I don't understand how someone could dislike any aspect of this project

I was tired of all the teasers for good company 2. I thought that it would be the same old tom talking about how he grew up in Pittsburgh blah blah blah. I couldn't have been more wrong, the skiing was absolutely next level. I've skied at seven springs (30+ days a season) for 6 years and seen a lot of sick park setups for contests and photo shoots. What 7springs park crew did for good company with the amount of snow they had is mind blowing. A week after good company finished seven springs hosted super park 19 and had another massive setup with almost no snow. Then a week after that they hosted mashed potato melt down with good company there (that's the pond skim footage). It was sick seeing the good company crew at seven springs for mashed potato meltdown. I think that good company skiing at seven springs defiantly made the good locals feel like they can make it in skiing.

Best skier in the movie in my opinion.. that weird ass double 9 in the 7th springs segment,... wowsers that rotation is fucked up!
