Need new skis but what skis?

Hey guys I'm looking for some help regarding new skis...

I currently own 190 Armada Magic Js and use them for everything. I can carve them on hardpack without too much difficulty as I used to be a racer. (I'm 185cm and 90kg lean).

Basically I'm looking for a pair(s) of skis that I can carve all over the mountain but also be able to take to the park. Something that's kinda buttery and good at carving.

Any help gratefully appreciated, cheers.

revision talismen is what i just ordered but last years alpha x would be good too k2 shreditor 102/92 iclantic da nollie or on3p kartel 98 their all solid all mountain park skis that atre pretty buttrery i prefer wider under foot and i am assuming you do to your last ski

ON3P Kartel 98 is a super solid option for all mountain and some trips to the park. Revision Talisman is also a cool option, but today is the last day for pre order so you might miss out on a really good deal on them. Shreditor 92/102 aren't bad but wouldn't be my first choice.

I second the revision talisman it charges all over and is pretty soft but remains stable. I believe they just came out with a wider all mtn charger the bedrum or something along those lines.

I've looked at some reviews and so far I'm leaning towards the ON3P Kartel and the K2 Shreditor. Any more suggestions?

K2 Shreditor 92s are the replacement for the Recoils, which I've been riding for the past couple years and I would most definitely recommend. Nice moderate flex with a lot of pop and also durable as shit I love em

A lot of the skis mentioned although awesome will probably be a little soft for you op. Of you want to still charge around maybe look at somthin like the blizzard peacemaker. Thode skis rip, so stable at speed but still lovely and playfull when you need them to be. I reviewed them last season so you should be able to find the reviews if you search the news section.

Whet in the uk? If you can get to a dome you will be able to demo skis to work out what really suits you. Demoing really is the best way to buy skis as you know exactly what you are getting. The shops shoul have the new skis in by now.

lol. you would never want those anywhere in the park.. check out kitten factory all mountains over at kfskis.com durable, lightweight and fun anywhere on the mouny.

Why not? Sure if he was after a dedicated park ski that was just for the park there would be better options but for a ski which rips and carves hard but can still do the odd park lap they would be ideal.

Id agree with this. Although the Nordica Soul Rider might be a better option imo.

Have you skied the peacemaker? The flip core blizzard use makes te skis have a ton of energy. While testing I was finding you can really boost off things. Tey would be way more playfull then a magic j but also carve so much better. But hey each to there own in terms of skis and that is why I would very muc recomend the op takes advantage of being able to demo before he buys.

What about the J skis Allplay, I've heard good thing about them and also the K2 Shreditor chaarges in and out of the park.

I am thinking of getting the peacemakers, op should definitely buy them as an ex racer

Hey guys, I've looked at some more reviews of the K2 Shreditior... I'm looking for something that's playful all mountain but still solid enough to charge and carve when I need to.

Also I'm taking a season out skiing next year where I'll be a ski instructor so I need something that I can use easily when I'm tryna show people how to snow plough lol.

Are there any dealers in Europe? There should be. Check ON3P site. Also maybe buy online, I think shipping costs have gone down

I'm pretty sure the peacemaker has a bamboo core, which tends to be very soft.

Their skis are scheduled to go out around 10/1.

Also - if they don't have the size or model you want, email/call them and ask for it. They will see if they can add it to their order (which might be possible depending on availability).

I've never skied the talisman but have seen people skiing them. The tips flap from the rocker at low speeds

While the tips do flap a tad bit I never once felt it riding the bumps or anything along those lines. Also the 1016 models have a more raised nose and should be a bit more capable of charging. Its a 132 nose o its got a nice spoon to it

These dudes know what's up! Our Shreditor series is really fun for what you're describing! The 102 is a little more buttery than the 92, but they're both awesome skis made for different preferences.
