Replying to no more Embeding videos?

Saw this, "We no longer accept embed code in the forums. You can only use URLs from supported sites (NS, YouTube, Vimeo, EpicTV, Brightcove). Sorry, it was a really big security problem and we're not putting it back." when I was replying to a thread. But and when I put the embed code for a video in nothing happened as to be expected, But other people are still successfully embedding videos. Is there a work around for this?
