i was just curious what other people do. I usually get a rock and just rub the edges on the middle two feet or so of each ski.
I usually make them pretty soft underfoot. How much is enough to make sure they arent sticking to rails?

tomPietrowskiHaha yes a rock will be a horrible way to do it.
MalcolmI guess I've been doing it wrong all along. There's something awesome about using a rock as a tool though. Just the other day we needed a flathead screwdriver for this screw and my buddy found this tiny flat rock instead. Felt like cavemen discovering fire for the first time.

Crispy. When detuning with a file, should i keep the file 45 degrees to the edge or make rounded sweeping motions?
