Favorite part of home mountain

As I ride the hype train I'm thinking about these things.

My "home" mountain is Crystal MI. Their fries are the shit, even though they're super expensive, and the ski patrol is super chill even giving me shovels to build a feature into the side of a building. Just some pretty good vibes.

My home mountain is Gore a.k.a. Mount Jore. It's a long way away from the main highway (I-87) so most of the time when it's not a holiday break it's filled with locals. The great thing about the season pass is that it always works at Whiteface and, if you have the Ski3 pass, it works at Belleayre. The food is good, even though it's slightly expensive. The gondola most of the time opens earlier than all of the lifts and it's great to lap the gondola early in the morning until the line gets longer. You can lap the park from either the quad or the gondola on the bottom of the mountain. However the glades at Jore are where it's at! They're great to lap through when there's a couple inches of fresh snow. Mount Jore is also home to one of the steepest trails in the east, Rumor. Even though Jore is a bit of a drive away from where I live, I still call it home.

The best part of my home mt is its 5 seconds from my house i can hear the snowguns at night, and ik basically everyone there. My home mt is Blandford Ski Area, probably never herd of it but its about 25 trails and 3 lifts, and the park has been getting better over the years since all the park work is vollentear. With one park manager whos supper chill, i love getting up there real early and getting those first tracks in the park, the veiw is amazing on those blue bird mornings, the best fealing in the world.

I just liked knowing everyone and all the random terrain on my home mountain. All the random cut through trails in the woods and random cliffs that seemed big at the time, but were in reality, tiny as hell. And having the time to actually ski all the time.

Currently WH20 is my 'home' hill. It's small, which kinda sucks due to everything getting tracked by 11am on an inbounds pow day (but what hill isn't). Besides that, playful terrain with quick laps and never a crowd. Really though, my favorite part of the hill is it's super easy access to really really fun slackcountry zones and a strong community vibe. The kind of hill where you can show up solo in the parking lot in the morning and meet up with people to go for a tour with any time you roll up to the lift. You're never without friends when you head up there.


The food is good too if you're into that kind of thing.

Hey OP, MI represent!! I will argue that cabarfae's fries are much better than crystals but their park blows. I heard crystal lost their jump line because of a lawsuit :(
My home mountain is Cannonsburg MI, and my favorite part is its wallride.

Yeah it sucks. Had a buddy die there this year. But Lawsuits piss me off stupid rich tourist with their dumb gaper kid. It should be back this year along with the possible return of a halfpipe or at least a long quarter. Damn that's the wallride!? I best get my ass down to cannonsburg.

My home mountain is A Basin, the best part is the super long season, the local vibe, the east wall, and laps on pali all day

ski-bolaMy home mountain is camp fortune,this shitty little resort in western Quebec.

My favorite part about it is that the park is on the smallest of the 4 small peaks and is the perfect place for non stop park laps. Aldo, the cafeteria is not as expensive as all the other ski hills I've been to and they serve the best poutine ever.

Dude what the fuck that's my home mountain. I'm moving from outside Ottawa into Ottawa and I'll be there erryday. We should have an NS meet up there sometime.

Burgybest part about edelweiss, is the sweet park lines, and the short lift lines. every rider is chill as fuck too.

Jumplines good,they have a series of four kickers but they focus more on rails

MinggThere are two main hills in my area, Holiday Valley and Kissing Bridge. Holiday Valley is this big resort. Charges close to 1K for a season pass(its a 650 foot hill) and has been compared to Vail in recent years. Their mountain watch is almost an exact replica of Vail's, just to give some perspective. This hill is an extremely touristy area pretty much. Not to hate on them, they're doing their thing and thats cool. It's a fun place to ski and I go there each year it's just not my favorite place.

So anyways! The big expense has actually pushed locals away and over the years more and more locals have been coming to KB. Less and less tourists have been attracted to KB as well which gives the hill a pretty awesome vibe. Lots of really cool people here even though our hill is a bit more outdated. The vibe here is unmatched. So much fun. Went through a transition year with park crew(Management thought it was a GOOD idea to drug test park crew and everyone got fired-lol) so the park wasn't too good this year. In the past though KB's park was fucking killer.

Another part of KB is that it's out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. So after a day of skiing you really cant go anywhere but the bar there. So there's usually a bunch of really cool people chillin which is always a good time.

Home mountain life is rad.

I was at Holiday Valley a couple years ago (It's a pretty sick area) and I raged because of some things I'd rather not talk about. I snapped my poles and threw them into the woods (spaghetti dumpster poles) and as safety patrol yelled "Hey, you can't do that!" I told him to screw themselves and and took off. My friends later told me that 8 or 9 of them were chasing me. I went down and took their quad to that area where their mogul course and comp center are. I'd like to apologize for my actions and anyone I offended.

skipoint0my home mountains are gore and whiteface. Gore, its easy to find an area to hide from traffic, and has some pretty varied terrain. whiteface has a better park and some really nice steeps, not to mention the slides


i skied at gore at the very end of the season like mid april i think, i know it was one of there last days, and there ski patrol was everywhere there wasnt a park so everyone was going and hitting this jump, that was the remains of where the pond skim was and i got stopped and talked to 3 times telling me i was a dumb kid who was gonna kill myself lol the thing was barely a jump. you got maybe 3 feet off the ground at the most

There's definitely more of a park around Christmas & New Years, especially during Presidents week.
