How to prepare for ski shop interview

Tell them you have a newschoolers account so you know all about skis. But don't tell them how much karma you have. If you want, you can use my karma

I want to work at a shop but would take too much of my ski time away. Not to mention I babysit for a family already for 12 bucks an hour

They probably care about your work ethic, showing up on time, and general attitude. So talk about that and not how great of a skier you are or how much time you spend on newschoolers.

I would talk about previous job experience, what areas you know most about, Say you specialize in park gear or whatever. Talk about general attitude personality. Tell them what you can deliver

3 haha they suck. Ages 4, 6, and 9. Would rather work elsewhere for like 9 bucks an hour

Just be yourself. Don't try to be this other person for the interview. Be respectful, dress appropriately for the interview. I've learned to always dress one above the position your applying for. Have some questions to ask them. And most importantly when answering questions etc it's always what you can do for that business and their customers. Good luck man.

most kids have a park "education" so differentiate yourself. let the manager know that if you dont know much about regular non park all mountain and frontside skis you are very confident you will understand the technology and how to sell that tech being the avid skier that you are. also, its just a shop interview its not like youll be interviewing for a fortune 100 company. It will be laidback, youll be fine as long as you show that you can be social and show a love for winter sports

Exactly! Work ethic is also really important.

It also is actually pretty decent to mention how much time you spend on Newschoolers. You just need to angle it right.

You can mention that you are an avid member of the site, and the online ski community as a whole. Use this as an asset - where you can assist with any advice they need about product trends, online trends, assisting with promoting their shop online and assisting with social media. Don't push it too hard like you know more than them - the core reason they'll hire you is for your shop skills... but it doesn't hurt to mention that you're active in the online community and can assist with an understanding of it if they ever are in need.

everytime your interviewer asks you a question, just stare at him, pull out a chapstick from your pocket, and apply in a flirtatious manner to your lips.
if your interviewer is me youll be hired in no time.
