its good to represent positive companies that are healthily supporting your dreams and goals in return. its not about the moneys.
the ski industry is small, poor, and negative. so its best to look outside for help.
emergen-c is a great first start, they are open to all sorts of athletes and programs, and offer products and stickers/schwag to help events and teams, as well as personal health. a great building block that has national exposure.
local companies are good for help in your community for positive exposure. again, learn to ask for things other than money...
BUT watch out, because if you start running with it, people will try to ruin your image, reputation, and destroy sponsorship.

I think one of the big things that makes Red Bull so awesome is just the exclusivity. You can go buy Monster and Rockstar branded crap all over the place, but I'm pretty sure Red Bull apparel and branded stuff (stickers, helmets, etc) is only made available to athletes.

It's the whole "I want it because I can't have it" sort of thing.

I'd say a comoany like Salomon woukd be my #1 choice. They have so much to offer from Skis to clothe, goggles etc. They even have a bunch of other sports to help you on the off season. Plus they've been around for so long you probably don't have to worry about them going under.
