LINE FUTURE SPIN SHORTY

I want to get some new skies this year... I dont want them to be very expensive. I was looking into line skies but armada or any other brand is cool. The skies that caught my attention were the line future spin shorty. I ski in the Midwest so I dont do powder and like rails the most. I am not amazingly good but progressing fast. Are these skies good and are there any other non exoensive skies for youth people progressing?

well dude i hate to say it, but i dont think any human will ever be able to change out skies. its always gonna be blue and have clouds in it. sorry man

I would look into something in a size 158-170. Im the exact same size as you and will ride a 168 next year. I also ski in the Midwest (MN) so i do mostly rails as well. You'll want a fairly durable ski as far as edge goes. Make sure to detune your skis before you use them. If you have a mostly rail ski its likely you want a softer ski? You want a soft or stiff ski? its all personal preference?

You're gonna need some bigger skis than the shortys you should maybe chech out the real future spins. And I you're trying to save money, a lot of websites are selling last years skis for cheap.

I recommend Ice Da Nollies size 160 or 170 (theres a sale on Skis.com for $300 and Backcountry.com for $360. Also check out Armada B Dogs, On3P Filthy Rich (quite expensive though), K2 Domain size 164, Line Blend 164, Line Chronic 164 (someone is selling 171s for mad cheap, 171s would also be ok), and Faction 1.0 164 (CharlieTuchetta is selling these for like $300 which is really cheap) But explore your options and look for skis 160s-170s

I recommend something of last years I got last years 4Frnt Switchblades in 156 and they had 170 and 164 for only $169 bucks they were brand new and are dope, light skis that I recommend

If these are available still I would also recommend these. They are on the stiffer side but more of a solid and stable ski.

It might also help if we know your budget I know you said not that expensive but not that expensive could mean 200 to one guy and 400 to another

You talked about the future spins which are line and I found the 2015 line after bangs for $279. I actually was stuck between the after bangs and switchblade and got the switchblades so I personally don't know much about the after bang I know it's suppose to be a really stable and buttery ski that has progressive dimensions in my perspective. But if there is anyone with afterbang experience that could actually help more then my extrapolation.

Don't buy after bangs ever, especially for him. He's a lighter skier looking for a rail ski. After bangs aren't durable, and rails eat up skis. After bangs are heavy af, and a light skier wants a lighter ski.

Haha thanks for the info, I was hoping someone was going to say something I never really liked them and was nervous to get them last year glad I got the 4frnts it sounds like!

You should be very happy you did. After bangs blow. The 2012 version was cool but still kinda sucked. The 2011s and 2012s make a great urban ski

Yeah that's what I heard, you know I think a pair of faction skis would be good for this guy, do you agree or not? I'm not an expert on skis at all but the faction1.0s are nice i've heard

I actually recommended them. Durable skis for the most part, fairly light, still has some butter to them but are really stable on jumps. I don't think he will look at them but he should

Yeah, I never really payed much attention to faction until I saw one of their edits. The 1.0s aren't cheap though and I couldn't find a decent priced pair for him... Also what about Surface? I know nothing of them pretty much...

Someone is selling his size on here for $300 brand new. I honestly don't know much about surface, I've heard mixed reviews

Thanks for the input! what makes the faction 1.0 such a good ski? they are pretty expensive and i really havent heard much about them. What are advantage of a soft ski vs stiff (I will really only be riding park)?
What do you think about armada bdogs and line chronic?

CharlieTurchetta for $300. I would look into them. Don't buy them if you don't like the profile of them. Don't buy them because I recommend them. Buy them because they have what you want. Its a medium flex ski with a little bit of rocker than can handle big jumps well and can slay rails pretty well too. I would say it can handle both jumps and rails the same.

Hey man! Never rode b-dogs or chronics but I know Tom Walnut rides em! (saw your username) chronics are pretty much 100% park from what I see and are kind of medium to a stiff flex they have that early rise and are lightweight... I think?? Swan dog knows more then me but yeah faction is sweet, watch one of the edits and you can see candidide or one of their boys on the 1.0s. But the B-dogs are actually one of my favorite skis just from the design of the ski itself its got hat unique look and is soft and playful plus it's got that park rocker made just for b-dog I've always wanted them.. Hope me and Swandog helped gl with skis and remember like swandog said get what you feel comfortable with and what you want not what other dudes say...

I ride surface outsiders and they are absolutely amazing. Cant speak for theyre other skis, but outsiders are amazing

Outsiders are pretty sick. Don't come in his size at all though. Kind of an awkward ski for a smaller dude anyway. Thats really the only ski I know about from Surface
