Friendly Wager thread

I have an idea to make it interesting. This is the Friendly Wager thread- where we can make fun callouts or bets to make the usual day out a little more than just a usual day out.

So basically the initiator bets someone else they can catch more fish/ a bigger fish/ fish in more ways/ more species of fish in a day/more total length of all fish caught etc. and sets a value. The acceptor has to accept the terms and then the day happens... The winner pays via paypal or ships the wagered item and the kingdom rejoices.

Sound fun or am I crazy?

Today, I have some shit to take care of in the morning but from there I plan to go fish some t rigs til my heart is content


To beat me, you must post pics of you doing work and then catching bass on whatever bait you prefer

Starting at 12:01 am (within your time zone of preference...as long as you're there now), I would like to see who can catch the most species of fish by 6:00 PM

We have a pretty good group of folks here so pics aren't required but certainly preferred

Winner gets a four pack of my favorite local brew

Hint: I hope you like horny monks

Trying to think of a lake where i can feasibly catch more than 3-4 species in a matter of a couple hours.... dont think its possible haha. Not that it matters its thunderstorming here all day anyways

Ha its all good. If i didnt have to work id just go to the mississippi. Can probly get 12 different species haha.

Ill come up with one for the weekend. Have to cool it on musky fishing per docs orders anyways

Its not gonna be like a $3 bag of plastics or nothin either. Im trying to think of something unique.

Im pounding the bass here the next couple weeks too, so ya better get it before me haha

Y'all are going to have your work cut out for you in this multi species battle royale tho haha I went and hit two spots today and was able to make a panfish jig and chase a few of the little fuckers down.

Realistically the only ones I'll have a shot at to add to the list from here on out are catfish and pickerel tho.

I should jump on the species one but I barely ever get an hour to fish let alone a whole day. Within a half hour though I have a major river, many trout streams, many farm ponds, and several reservoirs. I bet I could get almost a dozen.

I guess your lady is a tad more understanding than mine ha.

Looks like that crappie and perch could be dinner on their own, those things are pretty frickin huge.

you better get on it. i found the bigguns last weekend. had 5 fish that were 4.5 plus but none hit the 5 marker

Gonna be tough for me to get out at all in the near future but I'll try!

In related news I just had a friend who is a trout guide tell me that he knows where there are "annoyingly large" bass... He said he's caught several 10+ and he's definitely not bullshitting me. Might have to bring my stuff the next time we head out that way. I guess nobody there fishes for bass but they get huge because of all the stocked trout. I looked at him like he said he had a unicorn farm haha a 10+ would be a lifetime fish for me.

Perfect. Should be prespawn here and tomorrow is fishing opener so I can finally fish for something besides crappie. Should be the fattest fish of the year
