Newschoolers Fantasy Football Money League - V.4

It's time. Football is almost upon us... actually its still far away but I wanted to get started on this to make sure we get the league going again this year. This will be the 4th season we've done this, last year was probably the best one we did. We had the buy-in set at $15 with a payout of $100 for first, $35 for second and $15 for third. We can always switch this up or adjust if we raise the buy-in. The draft will either be during the last week of preseason or the week before the first regular season game. The league will be on ESPN also. I think we will cap the league at 10 teams, maybe we can go to 12 if we get tons of interest. Last year we all got on google hangout or tinychat during the draft and had a grand ole time, I say we do that again as well.

I can't remember the specific rules of the league as far as PPR and all that. Who ever has some input on that post it. If you want to make some changes to the rules, suggest them.

How to get into this league you ask? PM Steezy_P, he is the guy who you will send money to. He has collected all 4 years and paid out all for years. He will send you his paypal e-mail and once he gets paid you get an invite to the league with your e-mail.

oh i know, haha. Unless Charles Johnson goes off (doubtful), I don't have a shot. Always a tough beat putting up 100+ and losing, but it bodes well for the rest of my season.

Yeah totally. It's only week one.


However, my Cowboys won, Seattle lost and it looks like I'm going to start out 3-0. Also, I beat my dad in another league.

Thank the Lord, football is back.

1. I hate the Giants. Thank god they puked all over their shoes.
2. I have always pitied the Rams. They've always had stout defenses and a decent QB, but play in such a difficult division. They'd be a contender in most of the AFC divisions.
3. Beating your dad is the best feeling. No matter how old he is, he's always stronger, smarter, and still has a Dad Dick.

Well..I drafted Adrian Peterson and Arian Foster. I also drafted a slough of alternates to play while I wait for Foster to get well...Bush seemed as good as any of them to start as RB2 this week.

I guess I'll play this league judging by the lack of response. Won this week and honestly was following the team to see what happened. Don't like the win though, second lowest score in the league. Time to make moves.

He has the potential to be the Fantasy bust of the year. Denver has an atrocious offensive line, so inexperienced. Gary Kubiak is dialing up some of the weirdest offensive schemes I have ever seen, really not well-suited for Peyton. good luck, hopefully he heats up, but I am 100% giving you an L this week.

Right? I don't see why Kubiak is going at it this way. It doesn't make sense to me. He should be running hours offense in a way that Peyton can succeed. He's not some rookie QB that needs broken of his college habits. He's Peyton Manning. That being said, how the Broncos are 2-0 is beside me. They're playing terrible football.

They look awful. There defense is bailing them out, big time. 5 turnovers forced last night? That's insane, and frankly, not sustainable. Peyton looks like a noodle-arm on 85% of his throws. He can put some mustard on it when he absolutely has to, but he has so little left in the tank.

They need a power running back. You simply cannot have a weak passing game with a running game that relies entirely on the passing game. He needs a RB that can run downhill and rip off 4/5yds. every touch.

I'm not sure on Romo. He's playing great football. But dez is a big loss. I think Romo will be fine with Witten though.

Both overturned touchdowns-- Hankerson, and Peterson, were my players :(

Granted I didn't start Hankerson, but the Peterson loss was a sting.

Why did I encourage Casey to join this league?

He is SO annoying. All he does is complain when he goes 2 minutes without his team amassing massive amounts of points. His team has pulled off magic both last week and this week--with a projected end score of 145 this week, but he is sitting next to me bitching...even as AP fumbles for a loss of points to my pathetic, injured team.

I never anticipated how it would suck 500 times more to lose when you have someone next to you who wont shut up about how good their team is doing, AND getting upset every time their team doesn't rack up additional points.

Like...he has Eledman and Fitzgerald...for the love of all that is holy...and complained when Josh Brown didn't get another field goal opp.

Time to start drinking...and by start I mean continue...but at a more rapid rate.

It's so good. It starts out a little slow. But the show is mostly unscripted so it takes a few episodes till their chemistry is there. But it's raunchy and hilarious.

KJ Wright ejected? ...This game is so ridiculous to watch. The guy grabs his facemask for 5 seconds, he grabs it back and shoves him down, the guy them grabs KJ's again and yanks him down...it was mutual. Officiating is so frustrating.
