Replying to Idea for winch

sorry if this shouldnt be in gear, it seemed fitting.......

anyways, no way am i buying a winch lol too much $$$ that could go towards anything else, so heres my idea....

engineer the spool (for the rope) under a lawnmower engine, which i would want to fashion to a dolly for transportation, the rope would run through a small section of pipe so it wont fall directly down off the spool when walking it out

thoughts?
