Worst injuries

Recently dislocated my hip by casing a 70ft jump while doing a cork 7, stomped it but came up short by about ten feet short, worst pain in the world. I'm curious about what the worst injuries you ever had and how they happened?

That sucks man. Dislocated hip is by far the worst pain I've ever been through.

Knee didn't feel good, but it wasn't as bad as the hip. Worst part about when I did my knee, was it felt like my leg was going to fall off. That was weird.

ACL not cause it was painful, cause it really wasn't too bad it's just shitty that it puts you out of commission for about 9months. And not entirely sure how I did it cause my surgeon said I was chronically ACL deficient so I skied a season without it.

ah, I can relate. It's the most awkward pain in the world. I couldn't move my leg and its was pretty scary and painful. Shit was not fun. Having it put back was fuckin killer too.

In gymnastics I was doing a pass on beam(back handspring, back layout). I missed my hands which caused nye to land on my head and scorpion. Folded in half pretty much and ended up with a concussion and a fractured back.

Just recently dislocated my shoulder doing a hand drag cork 3 at snowflex. Dislocations are such terrible/awkward feeling injuries.

Decent so far just started to walk on my own and will be starting physio soon!

Burst fractured my c5 vertebra (Severely Broke my neck).......Doctor said im lucky to be able to walk because my bone split in two. I broke it cliff diving....ill be out for at least 9 months and there is a chance I could get major surgery and be out for longer.I could have some neck pain for the rest of my life....

2 broken ribs, collapsed lung, lacerated liver, dislocated hip.

During preseason this last season so December 7, me and some friends built a lip off a 20-25 foot cliff at Brighton my first hit threw a backie and was fine, but that wasn't enough for my dumb ass, the lip had to be bigger so I built it bigger but added way to much vert, it threw me way to my back and I fell from roughly 35 ft up flat on my back on a massive slab of granite. I passed out for a few minuets. woke up and had to ski to the ski patrol shack, why? because I was in a roped off area and work at Brighton and was not about to get fired for that shit. 3 nights in I.M.C. and then a month out of school, but only 3 months out of skiing, so that wasn't to bad at least.

I have the scare from where they stuck the tube in my side to vacuum out my lung too.

I broke my back skiing slack country in April and it was the most painful thing I have ever felt. Quick recovery, only 3 months and now I'm back to skiing.

I crashed into snow fence on the magic carpet at Jore cause i was going a little to fast and not paying attention. Had a level 1 lesson group with me too.

Buddy-o-mine was skiing Jackson in a foot of pow and got his ski caught. He cranked his leg around and blew his ACL, MCL, Achilles, torn meniscus, and a tib-fib. all in the same leg. out for 18 months

Broke a rip\b which was the worst pain i've ever had. Breathing is a necessity so it hurts every time you take a breath. Also over shot a jump about 20ft past Big Air Dave's landing zone and broke my toe in my boot somehow. I thought i broke my boots and bindings the impact was so loud. Didn't know i broke it until after I went back for another run and basically skied down on one ski. I was on vacation too.

Broke the end of my collarbone near my shoulder and tore my shoulder last November the first weekend skiing of the season on sticky rails and sheet ice. Hopefully this season starts off better!

I had a nasty concussion in Vail once. Skied into a tree.. right after it happened I skied to the base and sat with friends. All the sudden everything got really blurry and I remember getting hot and having to take my layers out. I got so dizzy I puked and passed out on the patio. I woke up in an ambulance briefly and I guess I faded out again because the next thing I know I'm laying on a gurney in the ER. I remember reciting my address aloud over and over again. (I'm guessing to prove to myself I was alive and had brain function) because I felt dead.. there's no other way to describe the feeling. Ended up having a pretty bad concussion and for a few short weeks suffered from memory loss. Probably the least favorite thing that's happened to me.
