Today really fucking sucks

MinggSo after finding out that in order to pay my rent online I have to pay an extra charge of $50, I figured I would drive up to my apartment(about an hour away) to give them my rent and to run some other errands in the area.

The on ramp to the highway has been undergoing construction at night for about a week now but its been open during the day. So I'm driving and across the road it seems to be those sensor they use to count the cars that go over them. I drive over them as they span across the entire road, and I hear 2 sets of "booms." and immediately after my check engine light come on - fucking sweet. I also notice 6 other people on the shoulder of the on ramp. Get out to find that I HAVE 4 FLAT FUCKING TIRES that appear to be completely irreparable. The gash spans the entire width of each tire.

4 flat tires would piss anyone off. But these are brand new 2 thousand dollar tires that my dad bought for me last week. So I'm forced to get my car towed. Apparently to have your car towed its 350 fucking dollars.

So I'm out about $2,350 that I don't have. On top of that, I didn't get my rent in today and I don't have a car now. So I'm forced to pay an extra 50 dollars to pay online as there is not enough time to mail it in.

Or you and six other people were the unlucky ones and there were hundreds of others that drove over the same area just fine and whoever is running the construction owes you and the six other cars new tires.

Also shouldn't 35s be like indestructible? How did others with normal shitty tires get past and your 35s blow like nothing?

I'm not gonna blame someone if it isn't their fault because I know I am a fucking retard most of the time and if it turns out to be my fault then so be it. offroad wheels aren't cheap. A brand new set of 35x18's was a lot more than 2000 usd, just saying.

If it wasn't marked and it was an open road way, which they will fuck you over on that 9 out of 10 times, they owe you new shit. I've seen it happen, a guy where i work drove over a super sharp chunk of concrete that wasn't marked and he got a whole new wheel out of it. Just try your best to be nice. It's always a lot easier to work to a resolution with this shit if everyone keeps their cool.

MinggI don't know dude, I didn't buy them haha. I'm just going off what I was told and didn't really think to question it. Either way, my dad got me new tires and I'm super grateful for that. It just sucks that this happened but I'm sure it'll get worked out(: I just wanted to bitch about my life to NS because why the hell not lol. Thanks though!!

dane_wizwillardfair enough, they're pretty much top of the line mud/snow tires if that makes a difference. And it was also an alignment balancing and shit on the bill. I'm pretty sure with the chrome 15 or 16's it was like 1700 in total. This wasn't recent either, 3 years ago now probably.
