Torn ACL

FrenchFryI play football and tore my ACL 2 days ago. Surgery isn't scheduled yet. Any tips on recovery? Any help and suggestions would be awesome.

Fam. You are gonna get surgery. You are gonna do rehab for 6-8 months and then you can start doing sports again. The biggest advice I can give you is to do exactly what you surgeon tells you to do, or your athletic trainer/ physical therapist/ physio whoever you see following your surgery. Just do it and do it as often as they tell you to and when you stop seeing them just keep doing it.

I'm two weeks post op today, the first week is absolutely terrible not gonna lie but once you can get around the house without crutches it's not so bad. Make sure to workout as much as you can before surgery so that you are nice and strong going in cause that will make PT much easier and your recovery faster. Other than that not much I can say other than good luck!
