epapageorgesI'm kinda in the same boat, ACL and medial meniscus two weeks post op. What kind of graft did you get? And how "normal" does your knee feel now?
epapageorgesAlso were they able to repair your meniscus or did they just trim it and smoothen it out? Had to get mine trimmed :\
CUSHKOMAI got my ipsetella patellar graft from my right knee, I was told that's what they recommend for young adult males. They gave me the option to take it out of my left knee, claiming that the there would less pain and struggle for my injured knee during rehab, but I didn't see why they need to cut open both my knees when only one was messed up so I took it from the right knee. Pain was gonna be inevitable so I just said fuck it. And they were able to fix my meniscus, I forgot how they did it though. I'm walking just fine, riding my actual bike again, and returned to work yesterday finally. Not really experiencing much pain anymore but I still got a ways to go so I'd say it's still far from being 'normal' again.
chunk. What ever you do, don't try to come back too early. Do exactly what your doc says. When he says you're good to go, you might want to give it a few weeks after that. I came back too early from a broken foot and ended up having to have two foot surgeries to fix it up. It's worth the wait until you are certain it is 100%.
