I think that freedom of religion should be granted to everyone, and all beliefs. Just so long as your aren't causing harm to others, I see nothing wrong with this.
Duluth used to have a ten commandments statue outside the courthouse. Some people thought that was a bit too much. The statue was relocated to a prominent tourist location before being relocated a second time to a private church.
I guess a back story would help. Basically a six-foot marble slab engraved with the Ten Commandments, controversially situated on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol. In 2012, state representative Mike Ritze fronted $10,000 out of his own pocket to have the marker installed in the shadow of the capitol’s dome, prompting the ire of those who believed it flagrantly violated the separation of church and state. The American Civil Liberties Union sued the state of Oklahoma; the Satanic Temple fought fire with fire. If the Christians could chisel their credo onto public property, the argument went, why couldn’t they?
The state didn’t agree, and rejected the Satanic Temple’s petition to place Baphomet’s statute on legislative property. The point is now moot, though: a month ago, the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled that the Ten Commandments monument violated the state constitution
The First Amendment states rather clearly that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". While I don't think the framers of the Constitution had Satanism in mind, the First Amendment cannot stop Satanism from existing insofar as it is a system of belief. (What is not protected is if/when Satanists extend their beliefs into the realm of action and they can be held accountable for any wrong doing). At the same time, the state cannot prefer one religion over another, or any for that matter.
Whether people want to believe in the God of the Bible or his fallen angel/jinn then they should be able to. But at the same time, the state cannot make any law in favor of any religion and thus all of it should be separate from the state.
Satanism isn't really a true religion, it's a philosophic lifestyle. Because satanists believe if there are any god, you yourself is it. Therefor I don't see any bad in this.

Kinda wish I had let that one sit, because NS was just straight up possessed by Baphomet right there, but oh well.
Anyway, can we just say that any statue erected in any city is the most METAL fucking statue ever?
The only way a statue can be more badass is if it's one dedicated to Norse Mythology or something - which is especially badass because that whole religion is decapatate-a-guy-with-a-battleaxe beastmode..
