He's avoiding the treason card by flipping on the rest of the campaign. Supposedly he was directed by multiple senior advisors to contact Russia in regards to cooperation in Syria BEFORE Trump was President (which Is illegal) and WHILE we had begun investigating Russian activity in our election. Sketchy to say the least, but it remains to be seen who will go down for it, if it can be traced all the way to the top, or if there are any impeachable offenses in the midst of all this.
Oh Jesus who hasn't leveraged US sanctions against a hostile foreign power in exchange for undermining a political opponent and then lied about it to the FBI.
