erikKHaha this post is a classic.
Starts off by calling an entire country's population a derogatory racial term, no big deal unless it's towards black people right? Justice for all.
Next up is the American classic "freedom" card like it's some great privilege to be able to pay an absurd amount of money for a useless course. There is a chance you took them specifically to win arguments on NS, in which case I retract my statement about them being useless, I guess.
The truth comes out in your third point, where you admit you only took two classes on the subject, which I'll agree can be very loosely bent into saying you studied it for an entire year. Like most people with an arts degree, that of course makes you an expert in the field.
Lastly, I wasn't particularly curious, but that sounds like a pretty shitty job. That's of course solely a matter of opinion, hopefully you enjoy it.
News flash-Eskimo doesn't have a negative connotation to it in America (unless you're one of the most ardent SJWs who gets offended over everything). I just used it because many Americans tend to refer to Canadians as Eskimos given that it's fucking cold and white in the majority of the country. But I digress.
That entire post went WAY over your head as is evidenced by your answer.
My "freedom" comment was in response to you saying you're a geophysicist, does that mean you're not given the opportunity to take classes outside of your major?
If so, that is a true shame. People shouldn't be restricted in what they can and cannot learn, regardless of their track in school.
I found a topic I was passionate about, and continued to learn about it. Not sure why that is an issue as evidenced by your criticism of it.
I never said it makes me an expert in the subject, but as I said, I learned enough about it to contemplate turning it into a career and consider myself well-informed having read numerous books since graduating on Middle Eastern politics and religion.
As I told Frenchy, it doesn't take a rocket-scientist to know that destroying ISIS isn't going to be as simple as dropping a few MOABs. ISIS is based off a belief, and as we all know beliefs are hard to destroy. Nazi Germany was "destroyed" decades ago but Nazi beliefs still exist.
Anyways, go back to studying rocks because by your logic, you're uninformed about American politics.
