WASHINGTON -The classified intelligence that President Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian officials at the White House was provided by Israel, according to a current and a former American official familiar with how the United States obtained the information. The revelation adds a potential diplomatic complication to the episode.
Israel is one of the United States' most important allies and a major intelligence collector in the Middle East. The revelation that Mr. Trump boasted about some of Israel's most sensitive information to the Russians could damage the relationship between the two countries. It also raises the possibility that the information could be passed to Iran, Russia's close ally and Israel’s main threat in the Middle East.
As we've seen through the past year of unsubstantiated claims, we see no facts, we have seen no evidence, we have been approached with no emails and only learned about this when contacted by the press," Rich's family said in a statement. "We are a family who is committed to facts, not fake evidence that surfaces every few months to fill the void and distract law enforcement and the general public from finding Seth’s murderers."
The reports cited a private investigator, Rod Wheeler, who Fox said was hired by the family and had previously worked for D.C. police. He also has been an on-air contributor to the Fox-5 news station.
The Rich family spokesman, Brad Bauman, also said Wheeler had not been hired by the family but by a third-party who Bauman says has a political agenda. He declined to identify the person citing legal concerns. He said Wheeler offered his services to the family "claiming he wanted to help." Bauman said Wheeler and the family had an agreement that Wheeler not talk to the media.
The intelligence came from a particularly valuable source of information about the Islamic State terrorist group’s ability to build sophisticated explosives that could evade aviation-security measures and be placed on aircraft, these officials said. The source of the information was developed before Mr. Trump's election in November, they said.
The disclosure that Israel was the source of the intelligence adds a layer of complication to Mr. Trump’s sharing of the information with the Russians. Israel is among the U.S.’s closest allies in the Middle East. The two nations' intelligence services work closely on counterterrorism operations in the region and routinely share information with each other.
But the information that Israel provided in this case was considered so sensitive that it wasn’t shared even with the closest U.S. allies, known as the "Five Eyes," a group of countries that includes the U.K. and Canada, the officials said.

But we've seen countless times these anonymous sources vindicated, just like we have in the past 24 hours. Ignore them at your own risk. Come in with skepticism, but don't dismiss them.

Great. Information that isn't shared with the UK or Canada is shared with Russia, who, if anyone forgets, is allied with Iran, a sworn enemy of the US. Before people say "it's about ISIS!" think for just a second about what Russia can likely take away from this. It's possible they can ID tactics, locations, and, heaven forbid, personnel.
A spokesman for the family of a young Democratic National Committee staffer who was murdered last year said Tuesday that a conservative businessman had paid for a private investigation into the unsolved slaying that has ignited right-wing conspiracy theories. The businessman denies any involvement.
The Dallas-based financial adviser, Ed Butowsky, a Fox News contributor who has written articles for Breitbart News, contacted the parents of Seth Rich and urged them to hire a private investigator to look into the death of their 27-year-old son, who was shot and killed last July in what police say was a robbery gone wrong. Butowsky offered to cover the fees and connect them with an investigator, according to Brad Bauman, a spokesman for the family.

Mr. Comey shared the existence of the memo with senior F.B.I. officials and close associates. The New York Times has not viewed a copy of the memo, which is unclassified, but one of Mr. Comey’s associates read parts of the memo to a Times reporter.
“I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go,” Mr. Trump told Mr. Comey, according to the memo. “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”
Mr. Trump told Mr. Comey that Mr. Flynn had done nothing wrong, according to the memo.
Mr. Comey did not say anything to Mr. Trump about curtailing the investigation, only replying: “I agree he is a good guy.”

The FBI is not investigating the unsolved murder of former Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, Newsweek has learned. The bureau’s lack of involvement refutes a Fox News report that an FBI analysis of Rich’s computer showed he had transferred more than 44,000 DNC emails to a person with ties to WikiLeaks. The report cited an unnamed “federal investigator.”

The FBI says they do not have it, and given they don't have an ongoing investigation, it's not a bad idea to believe them.
Wheeler, the Faux News host and investigator, is a former DC police member. If the DC police had it, he would likely know. Instead, he said he has no idea where it is.
But, no where has anyone EVER talked about a missing computer. Only Right-Wing, Alt-Right blogs have ever mentioned it.

There is an independent investigation, the DC police. It's not a matter for the FBI as it doesn't cover counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence, organized crime, civil rights, etc.
