Here's the crux of the problem of your views, as well as the fundamental issue of the bipartisan system; no political issue is EVER black and white, as you keep simplifying them to be. You are well aware of this, yet seem to defy your own logic when you come to these wildly off-base conclusions that reinforce the us versus them mentality.

It's possible to be a progressive liberal and still believe in "traditional" American values. Just because you want a safe homeland doesn't mean it's necessary to vehemently discriminate against entire groups of people because of a few bad apples. I'm not the one claiming that all news is fake. Many of the stories purported by the main stream media are in retrospective, legitimate, although biased in some regards. Of course, lots of news is black propaganda created on;y to hide the truth. I could give you one example, which involved a banana company and a film production crew. Firstly, the banana company hired fire squads to scare people off their land. If they did not comply, they would be shot. Once the lands were established for banana trees, they used slavery and sprayed these people with deadly chemicals fully aware of the health ramifications. This film crew that exposed this was vilified in the media. There was great conflict of interests with corporations paying off the news outlets to broadcast their narrative. This same banana company also hired JTRIG to censor anything on the internet that wasn't grossly biased propaganda. The media coverage was atrocious and there was obvious conflicts of interest.

The Fake News narrative came about primarily after the Pizzagate/pedogate discovery which is still ongoing and becoming disgustingly more vile. It was merely meant to silence anyone trying to expose higher up pedophiles and there are hundreds in banking, government, etc. NYT, WSJ, WP all scrubbed their past articles on a HUGE pedo bust that discovered hundreds of Terabytes of CP, which is equivalent to hundreds of babies being rapped continuously for 65 years. This bust had connections to higher up elites in banking, and governments around the world, who were benefiting off of the trafficking of children. Frank Giustra and the Clinton foundation through non-profit were benefiting off of Human trafficking.

So yes, fake news came about after the podesta email leaks that depicted bizarre coded language that paralleled the same language child rapists use on the dark web. After this discovery media scrubbed much of their prior articles on pedophilia, many writing articles victimizing the abusers.

The expenses that go with keeping the president safe go with the territory, all presidents safety has been expensive to maintain. I never complained about the very expensive trips Obama took to Hawaii and Martha's Vineyard, because that's just how it goes. Also worth mentioning that at least one of Trump's rounds of golf was with Prime Minister Abe of Japan, which seems fine to me. While I personally think that presidents should not take too much time for stuff like that, the hypocrisy of complaining about it given Obama's propensity towards golf is a bit laughable. In terms of conducting government business in front of guests, that is not something I condone.
