Greetings Newschoolers,
A couple friends and I have been discussing how edits have changed in the last couple years regarding music and editing style. Seems like there are less and less edits coming out these days with rap/hiphop/trap songs used. Personally, I enjoy watching these types of edits because the beat and bass in the music emphasizes the tricks in a way other music can't. There is a certain vibe given off from an edit such as Gun Play, produced by Downtofilm, or Dale Talkington-Summer, produced by 4bi9. They both have a score of over 800. The edit that lead me on to make this thread was Clayton Vila's segment from Mutiny (https://vimeo.com/86449278). Not only is the skiing insane when it comes to this edit. The song fits perfectly and almost every major bass tone throughout the song is paired with a banger trick. I may be incorrect but I have noticed a significant decrease in these banger edits that used to be frequently on the home page. Let me know some of your thoughts on the topic.
