onenerdykidBut Islam (and other religions historically) gives people in such areas a sense of moral obligation, justification, praise, and reward for committing such atrocities. If it is not a direct cause, it ought to be at least considered as kindling or fuel for such atrocities.
I find that bullshit..
really, the difference in 'violence' between Islam and Christianity has to do with the development of the nations where they predominantly exist.
Most of the nations where Islam is currently existing, are very very new - we're takling like, post-war numero dos, new... Most of these countries have only recently started exhibiting democracy in any way/shape/form. most didn't even really become organized until the 1960's, or 1970's.. some only since the 80's.
The killing in the name of religion is less about religion, and more about power and post-colonialism, only it's shrouded under the guise and justification of religion by it's activists.
You think ISIS is about spreading islam? Nope. It's about exhibiting power and control on an area...
Same goes with the taliban... that was entirely about control.
You think 911 was about Islam? No way. That was because off US foreign policy in their home area, and seeing as there hasn't been an attack of quite that size ever since only shows that there aren't enough muslims who are quite that crazy or determined to be able to pull it off en-masse. There's been far more psychos going on killing sprees since then around the world with much different justifications for their insanity.
there are plenty of christians who say that "america was founded as a christian country ad it should stay that way and in god we trust and blah blah blah". The difference is, our country has a founding basis that prohibits any takeover by some asinine group in order to form their own psycholand... but with the vaccum of power in the middle east started in Iraq and Syria, it's given these nutjobs the ability to take over these areas with force.
..compare it more to rebel groups in South America and Africa who have controlled whole areas of entire countries since colonialization ended. It's way more along those lines.
TLDR: Kony15?
