Need to get a new one, it'll be for a modest two bedroom apartment. My last one I had for 8 years so I want it to be somewhat futureproof.
What do you guys have/recommend?

eheathThis is what I have

something similar is all you need for a small apt, you could buy something more powerful for a house like this

shin-bangDon't let eheath sell you a router. Then he'll know the router number and a bunch of other important info and will hack your system and run up your internet bill then hack your credit cards then boom your in debt your house then gets taken away and now you're living on the streets
All because of eheath :(
eheathI dont need a wifi router brand to do that...

Mr.BishopHonestly the best advice I can give you is don't cheap out. The $50 routers work, but they're shit and most of the time they don't last. Sometimes you get lucky - but honestly invest some more money and you'll get a way better product.
Peter.this. especially if you are using the router in anything bigger than a small apartment, put some money into it
shin-bangi have a myqest router thats like a small 8inch tall by 6 inches wide by like an inch and a half deep. does it suck? lol

eheathyes.
shin-bangreally? we have like 5 family members and we all have ipods and ipads hooked up to it, and i play a ton of cod on it too and everythings fine. whats the benefit of having a more expensive one?
eheathI was responding to your blatantly stupid post in a sarcastic manner.
shin-bangBro how was it stupid. We're clearly talking about routers here and this is the appropriate place to ask a question like that
.Hugo.Because if its working fine it obviously doesnt suck. At least not for what you require it to do
ButteryLlamaGet on here and research. Tons of good information to help pick the right router for you.

Oh, and if i were you, id skip going to best buy or any big time tech shop like that. Saves tons of money & the workers there tend to be pretty dumb.
