Replying to I Was Profiled Yesterday
I'm a white male in my mid 20's and I was racially profiled yesterday. It all started when I went to the pawn shop to try and sell a rifle case that I don't use anymore. Right when I walked into the store I immediately got these nasty looks from these two black ladies that were in there. When I got to the counter one of them said to me that she has her "eyes on me boy" as if I were some racists pyschopath like Dylan Ruff or something. I then took my rifle case, it was one if those light weight ones made out of cloth, and I folded it up into a ball in her face to show her that there wasn't a rifle in it. I'm no legal expert, but I'm pretty certain that she was profiling me there. Isn't this suppose to be impossible though? I thought that this couldn't happen to white people, you know because of our white privlage and shit. I suppose my whiteness means that I could be wrong. If only I could take off my cracker goggles, then I could finally see that white people are exempt from being profiled on. It's impossible to be racists towards white people right?
