Replying to Choosing a ski for my mum

Hey folks, i was hoping some of you might have experience in this,
Last winter I lent my dad my alpha 1's and he was like a pig in shit, ripping all over the place on them, skiing powder and what not at 61yo, he thought cos he was getting old he had to stick to groomers but he's enjoying more of the mountain again. Anyway my mum's been asking about new skis so she can enjoy the mountain more but I'm not sure what to recommend her. She skis 80% groomers but wants a ski she can cope with more variable conditions, attack some inbound powder :-) etc etc basically keep up with anywhere my dad goes but I don't know what to recommend her?
If this sounds like your mum maybe you can help me pick a ski for her. Any suggestions appreciated!
