USPS sucks..

So I have a special something coming from salt lake and i had the priority 2 day mail. So basically it's been a solid 4 days but when using like ups or fed ex it normally takes a day or two days max.

Long story short, usps sucks

Now share your terrifying mail stories, stuff getting lost, not delivered ect.

USPS, UPS, FedEx, and so on do a really great job for the most part! Sometimes they can all be slow though I'm sure do to business, traffic, and so on.

USPS is always slow for me :( ups is always super fast but the shipping wasn't really my call this time.

I'm on day 16 waiting for them to deliver my ar handguard. I called usps and they said it's still on its way...tracking shows its been in the town I live in for the past 8 days.

I have only ever had slow service from usps.

for the most part all the shipping companies are pretty good.

But to this day it still floors me that after I pay you to take my property and bring it somewhere else that I need to pay you additional money to guarantee that it actually makes it there.

My mailman fuckin hated me a couple years ago. Got commercial drivers license for work, never arrived my house so I had to do that whole DMV thing all over again, not to mention my temporary papers had expired by the time I could do it. Then he also failed to deliver a marriage certificate or whatever.

Now we have those fucking community mail/PO boxes. Postman gets all pissy that we don't check it every day... fuck that, need to have the key, walk across the street to get it...can't I just have a normal fucking mailbox like every other homeowner...

Currently going nuts, ordered a product 22 days ago that had a 10-15 days estimation. I need it before I leave and I leave in 2 days. I fucking hate the royal england international mail. sucks balls.

I actually love USPS and I completely despise UPS. I live in Canada and USPS has an agreement with Canada Post, therefore I don't get charged stupid brokerage fees that are almost 25% of the price of whatever it is I bought. UPS also always fails at delivering the packages to my building because they 'don't know the buzzer number', which I've told them multiple times.

i had all of my camping gear sent priority from home to socal in 3 boxes. one box arrived on the expected date. the other two arrived and left anchorage within a minute and vanished after that and when i say vanished i mean "Its like they just dropped off the face of the earth" (-customer service on the phone 4 weeks after being sent). finally they were tracked down, one in anchorage and the other in washington. Awesome, please just get me my things. 2 of 3 boxes arrive, its been so long that the tracking number has expired in their system so i have to call in and try to figure out whats going on again. The last box made it to San Diego but for whatever reason was sent back up to washington and anchorage before turning around yet again to finally get to me well over a month later... it was stressful because i was moving soon, and i had a bunch of sentimental stuff in the boxes too.

shipping to/from alaska is always a pain. With the amount of mail moving around the country, it is not surprising that some stuff gets lost or misplaced... i wouldnt want to work there.

Bought a longboard and was getting shipped from Denver to me (In Boulder around 50 miles away). Gets delivered and the box is beat up, so I look in it, and the board is split in half. This was no cheap, flimsy board either (Loaded Tesseract). So I send it back, and about a week and a half later, a new board comes. UPS reused the same beaten up box, and the board was missing the front truck and there was a new gaping hole in the box. So once again, I sent it back, and on the third time they shipped it to Fort Collins (About 45 miles away from me, 70 from Denver) and so I waited again for a couple days while they tried to find it, and finally after over a month, my longboard went 50 miles to me.

UPS are a bunch of snakes, they don't even try to get into the building they just walk up to it see it's closed and leave..

Does it honestly surprise you its late? I NEVER use USPS if possible. USPS continuously loses money every single year. Only reason it stays in service is because its a government sponsored entity.

So the people I talked to at USPS were actually very helpful today. They tracked down where my package was...kinda, though it's in town it's still in limbo somewhere. The guy said he's going to contact the people who handle the packages directly and find it. Hopefully I'll get his call tomorrow that it's been found.

I still have hope for you USPS.

I frequently run into problems with USPS and I find their customer service reps to be pretty unhelpful for the most part. I had to call today cause I was supposed to have a package delivered yesterday (it was coming to Salt Lake from Texas). I tracked it this morning and it's in Memphis for some reason. When I talked to the rep she basically said she had no idea why it was in Memphis or where it was going...so that was frustrating.

USPS blows. I've had plenty of packages with tracking numbers get delayed for days. For example, I was supposed to have a package delivered last thursday and up until this morning when I went to check the tracking info it still said it was en route to my house with an expected delivery date of last thursday. So either USPS is crap or they're time travelers.

USPS fucking blows. It's no wonder they're struggling to stay open all of the time. I just had a package arrive yesterday....it was supposed to be here on the 27th....so yeah, only a week later. fuck usps.

Given the time difference, that's still less than three hours post office to post office. The point is that I paid for two day shipping and it came four days later. Every time I've purchased something from this place it has come directly to SLC...no weird routes i.e. to Memphis before SLC, that's the opposite direction. Of course it's going to cause concern. Maybe four days "is fine," but when you're paying for a service that you aren't receiving, it becomes something worth complaining about. No reason for the hostility dude, we're talking about mail.
