Airlines That Aren't Dicks to Skiers

Okay, I'm looking at flying to New York over my winter break, and I plan on skiing a fuck ton.

What are some airlines that have decent prices without raping you over the coals with baggage fees? I want to bring my skis but right now it's looking like I'll be dropping an extra $200 to do so.

if you can get a westjet flight from wherever you are I'd recommend that. I've flown a many times with them with my skis as well as a guitar a few times and never had any problems or outrageous fees
