K2 Shreditor '15 VS Line Chronic '15

Im looking for some new skis for the winter, I ski at Squaw Valley CA and Northstar. I really want a ski that is super bendy and fun but also really versatile. It seems to me that the Shreditors are all mountain, but more big mountain focused and the Chronics are all mountain but more park focused. I am on the Big Mountain Team at Squaw but due to the shitty seasons Cali's been having I spend a lot of time in the park. I really want both and may just end up buying both, but can anyone give me any more info on the two? Recomendations?

I have the '14 Chronic 171s and AFAIK they're the same as the '15s with different art. I've never skied the Shreditors so take this with a grain of salt but I really love the Chronics. Like you said, they shred all mountain really well but I mostly ski the park since I'm from the midwest, and they're super fun in the park. However, you said you wanted a bendy ski and the Chronic is pretty stiff. The advantage however is that they hold up on jumps a bit better and therefore should hold their own on cliff drops and such when skiing big mountain. I'd recommend them for sure, but if I were you I'd try to ride them before you buy them (demo) if possible just to make sure you like the flex. It's not brutal but it's not super buttery like the afterbang. I came from the afterbang (a softer ski) and honestly like the stiffness since it's more responsive and poppier. However, it's obviously your call. If having a buttery ski is a deal breaker, then the chronic might not be for you.

I posted this thread a long time ago, I ended up buying both pairs. But I totally agree with what you're saying for sure, I love the chronics, and on days where I've been to hungover to remember my shreditors I've skied the chronics, and they took some getting used to, but did hold up pretty well. Unfortunately due to a limited budget when I bought them I put look pivot bindings on the shreditors, and some old ass marker rental bindings on the chronics (which I regret doing). You sound like you Defs know what you're talking about, if you're ever looking for a new bendy park ski, you absolutely can not go wrong with the shreditors, they are the best skis I've ever owned in my entire life, granted I'm only 17, but they are so so so good. They look sick as fuck for 1. 2 if u think they are more of a big mountain pow ski, you are wrong because some days when I do only want to ski park I'll take the shreditors out, partially because the bindings on my chronics suck, but partially because shreditors shred. Have a great season next winter man! Keep on keepin on 👍
