Ski building question (Vacuum Press)

I recently began to build a vacuum ski press. However, after creating the mold for the skis, I ran into a problem. I didn't know what I should use for my vacuum bag! IS there a special type of bag I should buy? Should I just use a regular plastic sheet? All of these questions, but no answers... I've looked around on the internet but have yielded no results. If anyone that has built skis can help me out that would be great.

P.S. What type of epoxy did you use for the skis you built?

I built a pneumatic press and used a firehose with a car tire valve which I could plug my air compressor into. I know it's a different kind of press, but with this, you may be able to get more pressure on the skis and the mold you have started may or may be compatible. Hope this helps.

I thought you might have, but wasn't sure.

RAMP, last I knew, did all their skis by vacuum bag. Perhaps if you reach out them they might be some help there. ON3P is all cassettes, so I know nothing of how that should go down.

Fiberglass, resin, and composites stores will sell bagging materials. The plastic most people go with is simple nylon cut to the size you want, but there are different thicknesses, stretch, and release depending on how many products the place you look at offers. Typically most of these places will have answered a ski builder's questions from my experience and are of great help when you call them up or pop in. Don't forget bleeder and peel ply too, otherwise you are going to be dealing with a mess and a poorly built ski. I know it sucks to have to sift through ski builders but their search function is great and you will thank yourself later.

I built a pair of skis this spring using a vacuum bag press. I got all my supplies from a place called Plasticare in Denver. You can buy the bagging material, Peel ply, breather cloth, and tape by the yard. Find any composite material dealer and they probably cary it.
