Moment durability

I had a pair of 2012(?) moment vices that were absolutely bombproof. I rode them for 2 seasons and then on a summer setup in the woods where the landing was rocks and they were still in fine shape with no edge cracks whereas my armadas had 10-15 edge cracks after half a season. If moment is still making skis like they did 3 years ago then you should pick up a pair for sure!

moment's durability has historically been volatile

50% of people will give you reviews like the one above. 50% (like my friend) will report edges that blow out so faced they could only be laced with firecrackers, and catastrophic delams

everyone however says they are fun skis to ride

Dont read threads about brokens moment skis and get influenced by that, all skis can break.
Edge cracks, moment edges get extra heat treatment, what you do with them after that is up to you.. if you dont dull the edges for park yes you can edge cracks, again, all skis with edges can get that..
Bases, extra thick bases, thicker than most brands, yes ON3Ps are even thicker, do you need that? Thats debatable.. Again, depends on how you treat them, wax them properly and they will be strong, dont wax them and let them dry out, they will get weak, again, that goes for all skis.

I would never buy a pair because I think there are better options, but they should last a season.
