Replying to Do skis get distorted when they are resized?

I don't really know a lot about this, but maybe you guys could help me out.

A while back I read an article about ski design and it talked about how skis were designed and resized. From what I remember(please correct me if I'm wrong) there is generally the prototype and then a company will use that to get the other sizes of the ski. Often times the dimensions of the tip, tail, and waist aren't changed and this leads to a disproportional sidecut which changes how the ski rides a bit.

Maybe there is more to it that I am missing. If I interpreted this right, wouldn't that mean that someone short like me would be skiing on a ski that feels very different from a ski that someone who's taller/bigger is skiing?(assuming they are the same model, just different lengths)
