Alright so ive been checkin out some dope windells edits and noticed that its only the end of session 2 and it looks more like the end of summer, conditions look kinda sketch. I noticed in older edit, from last season there was alot cleaner snow and more of it by this time last season. I know they had a bad winter out west so my qestion is what do you think will they make it the rest of the summer, or will they not have enough snow?
PULLNot saying its gone next yr or the year after but its more saddening to know it wont be here for our children. Same goes for colorado and utah.
Global warming won't actually effect the ski industry for awhile, everyone is freaking out for no reason, the climate doesn't just change in even a 10 year span, it take decades.

However since March or so, we have been in a moderate El Niño and that's part of why it's been so hot. That will likely continue and result in a below average but not terrible winter.
And as to Windells, how long they go depends on how small they're willing to have their park, how much dirty snow they're willing to tolerate and whether they're willing and able to run after the resort shuts down. It's looking like Timberline will be open for about three more weeks at this point.

there was a record breaking heat wave in the northwest recently, not saying it affected the weather on hood much but it could be a part of the weather pattern

I truly believe the next twenty years we will see improved conditions in the east and worsening conditions in the west. AS we are about to enter a new grand solar minimum.

By using your brain. He's using a map of the ice age to point out how ridiculous it is to be convinced that this weather of the last year is anything other than just random occurrence rather than any sort of trend
they're saying theres gonna be a average snowfall in that area for the season so hopefully that will replenish it . Whistler docent look like its doing too hot either tho which is also a glacier

Well since it seems like no one has said much about windells lasting in this thread ill bring it back. Palmer snow pack is loowwww the public lane is almost gone below midway, public park will stay till it cant at all. Windells and hcsc are Sharing ONE rope tow now. Let that sink in 1 tow with 40 available handles at a time or so. Extremely dirty snow much longer lined and the high cascade jagalooms will be all over. I'd say bail and get your money refunded or try to go and have fun either way if Palmer closes there wont be a windells or hcsc for rest of summer.
