Why do you only want to hear bad things?

i ski there a lot, seems like every other major ski resorst in colorado

Yeah pretty weird.

I wanted to work at keystone, probably would have gotten a job there but got an offer from BC first and took it(dumb decision).

Worked at vail a few days for the open, and road there a lot. Worked at BC all season. I didn't really like BC but I don't have a problem with Vail resorts honestly. They get a ton of hate, but it is what it is, and I don't feel they're some completely evil corporation trying to ruin skiing. It's a business.

I'll most likely be working at vail this next season.

It's really all on you, what job you're working, what kind of work environment you like, and your performance at the job and reaction to the people around you.


I know people who hate working at the various vail resorts, I know people that love it. It's all what you make of it.

I worked at keystone as a scanner for a season. It's pretty damn chill for the most part, yea there's a few d bags there but that's everywhere you go. everyone was really fun and liked to party a lot (dont get sucked into the summit bum life though) have fun working on ALL powder days and never gettin real ride breaks though.

How long ago was this. I noticed at least BC and I think vail the ticket scanners were through guest services. They run an 8 hour shift and have the option to either take the morning or afternoon half and the other side they're out riding talking to guests and stuff. Actually seemed pretty. Not a bad idea either if it keeps people more motivated in that position.

I checked tickets for a couple months when I shatter my collar bone in NH. It was pretty beat, didn't even have a scanner, had to manually check em all.

It might be different at various vail resorts but if it's the same, as BC was this last year it seems decent.

it was the 2012/2013 season. it was alright but i ended up switching to join the rental shop instead. I had a bunch of fun there and would honestly love to make a real job out of running a rental shop eventually.
